Dear all,
Is it possible to recieve an Alert when a Queue Threshold has been reached on the AS400. The reason for this is I want to know when any message arrives in teh Dead letter Queue and a user defined error queue.
Thanks in advance. |

What you can get is an Event message generated under certain conditions, like Queue depth high, Queue full, etc.. I don't think that they work any differently in iSeries than anywhere else. So, take a look at the Event Monitoring manual. Of course you would have to write an application to read these messages. Or buy a monitoring package.
Or set the trigger on the DLQ, and user queues, that trigger a "pager" application.
