Hi,

In coming months we will using WebSphere MQ in our project.. The question is, is it better to go with WebSphere MQ JMS or Base MQ Java API..?

One difference I could figure out was JMS will a standard API cross different messaging vendors..So, learn once use across many messaging products...

Is there any difference in perfomace and functionality wise... Like does JMS provides more option then Base MQ Java...

Having a choice is difficult isn't it...

JMS is more vendor neutral, there is a performance price although it is getting faster. Less MQ specific options available (if you stick to pure JMS)

MQ JAVA API works only with MQ.

Both will work so it is up to you or your project to decide.
