Hi all,
I have WMQI5.0 installed on linux machine using RedHat. When I run the broker, I get the following error in my syslog:
kernel: application bug: bipbroker(9555) has SIGCHLD set to SIG_IGN but calls wait().
kernel: Workaround activated.
From reading forums of linux I get the impression that this is a bug in the way the broker is coded, and that a code change needs to occur for this to work. I am just wondering if this is true or if somebody knows a way I can work around this problem. If not then is there anyone I can let know, so that the bug can be fixed.
Thanks,
Shammy |

If you don't have a support contract, then post the problem to the newsgroup ibm.software.websphere.mqintegrator on google. IBMers frequent this newsgroup and one may help you out... |

I would like to test WBIMB 5.0 under one of the free editions of Linux like Redhat 9.
However I read in an IBM redbook that only Redhat Advanced server or SUSE Enterprise server as being supported.
Has anyone got MQ and/or WBIMB working under a free Linux?
What about WMQI 2.1? |

I'm pretty sure that WMQI 2.1 doesn't run in any Linux. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I tried version 5.0 under RedHat 8.0. No luck. Said my user environment was invalid. IBM Support naturally (and fairly) said that RH8 is unsupported and *may* have caused this problem.
I would reccomend trying with TurboLinux as I hear that this is supported by Db2 and have heard rumours of WBIMB being run on it. |
