Hello,
I work on Os390 V2R7 (MVS).
My sender channel (transport type =TCP/IP) has a transmission queue with a TRIGGER set to Yes (every message).
When i start my channel initiator, the channel goes in state INACTIVE. When i put a message in my queue, the channel doesn't start automatically. The first time, i must always start it manually.
I have set the DISCINT paramater to 0. So on my channel stay always run after the first start.
I don't understand why my channel doesn't start automatically with the trigger message?
Best Regards |

What's the specification of your trigger options. What Process are you starting. What's the definition of that.
BTW. For starting a channel based on triggering, you only need trigger type first.
Cheers,

I had the same problem a while ago, but later was resolved.
1. The sender xmitq need to have "process"
defined and "SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ"
2. In the process, it needs application
type "MVS", application id "CSQX START"
user data "the sender channel name".
Note all the above information MUST be defined in run script. It does not work by simply defining in TSO panel - That's what we got burned.
