Hi all
we have 3 systems (FMCSYS,FMCSYS1,FMCSYS2) in the system group FMCGRP. I configured a MQ Workflow Fat Client to connect to one of the systems(FMCSYS1) in this system group.

But my doubt is will the client be directed to a different system if FMCSYS1 is shut down.

But i have tried this , though , that when i add connect names of all the 3 systems to the client configuration , its able to connect , if atleast on one system in the system group is up.

Thanks in advance
karthik

Thanks venny,

I have tested in the following manner to see if what i am trying will make sense or not.

I added connect names of FMCSYS2 for the Fat client configuration.
Then i started the other 2 systems(FMCSYS , FMCSYS1) in the system group and shut down the FMCSYS2 server .
Later i opened my Fat client to see if it can connect to any of the systems.
First of all the client took a long time before i could get a login screen. Later when i tried to login with an existing userid and password , it gave me a timeout error.

To be precise i expected the systems to be able to handle this i.e even without the client knowing the connect names for other systems in the group.

If am not making sense , please let me know. I have to try this before i can implement it and may be explain it to others who might be asking me.

Thanks
karthik

Most likely your channel table might not be the latest and that is the reason it is not connecting.
After you have done all the configurations, copy a channel table from one of the systems and put it on the client machine and then test it.
