we have some strange behavior observed in wf3.4 sp1 recently on windows. i was wondering whether u have any idea on this.
the work items are not getting deleted from the web client after completing the activity. the status of activity goes from ready -> running -> finished. once finished the work item is not deleted automatically. we are forced to manually 'clean' by clicking delete icon. even the process instance in the webclient is going to finished state with an icon for deleting the instance and another one for restarting. before that the instance used to get deleted automatically. now we have to delete it manually.
we have our regular credit request process along with other processes. the credit request process is not behaving like this. even the other processes were behaving normally but suddenly they started behaving like this without any change to the model. we are wondering what might have caused this strange behavior.
any clues? _________________ shaker |

Make sure you domain setting of "Keep Finished Process Instances" and "Keep finished Workitems" is not set to forever. If it is set to 'never' you should not see this behaviour. _________________ -Ratan |

Shaker:
Have a look at your Process Settings and check to see if you hve Keep Finished Items and Keep Finished Processes specified.
What you are describing is NORMAL behavior IF those options are specified as anything other than NEVER.
Wierd... you have to believe me, Ratans post was not there when I posted this... I guess I must have left this without hitting enter OH WELL.... _________________ John McDonald

hi all,
i am trying to display the finished workitems. I have set the setting for the domain in the "process times" tab as below
"keep finished process time"
never
"keep work items time"
specific time interval
10 days
And I created a worklist in the webclient with filter
STATE IN (FINISHED)
but the finished work items are not bieng displayed.
Am I doing something wrong here. I must be. Do you guys see anything that is very obvious that I should be doing.
Thanks in advance

Did you restart the server after making the changes? |
