For companies using the LDAP Authentication Exit, do you add your group ID's(vs. individual ID's) to LDAP or do these ID's still get authenticated from the MQWorkflow Staffing database? If staffing database, does it go to LDAP first, then staffing database if the ID is not on LDAP?

Any direction would be appreciated.

If I understand your question right:
If you use an authentication exit (LDAP or whatever), authentication is done outside of workflow and no more authentication is done inside workflow. So,

this question doesn't arise.

I had been led to believe that LDAP Authentication was not an all or nothing. I was hoping this was true because we want to define userIDs that are strictly workflow ID's.

Someone else had mentioned that workflow goes to it's staffing database first and if the ID is there, it does not go to LDAP to authenticate. That would be a problem for us because the LDAP Bridge can not bring across the user's password because it is not in clear text format.

You are mistaken about using LDAP authentication. In order to do this you will need an Authentication Exit (see Programming Guide for details). Then when you issue Logon4 that Exit is invoked, when you issue Logon or Logon2 the normal MQWF authentication is invoked. So you can mix and match authentication, but the key is YOU do it not MQWF.
