I have recently installed MQSI v5.0.2 on Windows 2003.

However I am having trouble whereby the user (either mqsiuid or Adminstrator) cannot connect to the ConfigMgr via the Toolkit.

I get a error mentioning "NetUserGetLocalGroups" and and error code of 2221. Its is in the EventLog under the ConfigMgr process BIP500 messages.

Deduction from an NT error API tools says this error code mean "user not found" when trying to look up local groups.

I have created all the proper MQSI groups and placed both mqsiuid and Administraotr in them as well as the mqm group. I have created and recreated the brokers and configmgr many times using both mqsiuid and Administator as owners but to no avail.

I have recreated the exact same configuration on Windows 2000 workstation and it works fine. Same versions of everything!

The 2003 Server is a standalone server which I converted into its own domain but still not luck!

Has anyone else got MQSI v5 and Windows 2003 server running together?
The MQSI v5 web page says that it is a valid platform.

I am using MQ 5.3 CSD 5 as well as DB2 v8.1.0. And I guess the MQSI v5.0.3 is in fact up to CSD 2 based on the memo.ptf I found in its install directory.

well, as usual, the website and documentation are inconsistent in their description of the supported platforms.

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/wbimessagebroker/v5/multiplatforms.html

... does not mention W2003

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/integration/pdf/G325-2287-00.pdf

... does not mention W2003

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/wbimessagebroker/requirements/

... does mention W2003 (config mgr only)

Search for 'Supported Operating Environments' in WBI help

... does mention W2003 (no qualification)

... so take your pick or alternatively log a support call

Has anyone else out there got MQSI v5 working on Windows 2003 Server?

If so, did you have any of the problems mention below and how did you get around them?
