Legacy Application is sending messages to another APP ,Fine. We created another set of channel and XMIT queue, RQ.When the Application trys to put messages on the new RQ we are not recieving on the recieving side.

To trouble shoot we stopped the channel and tried the Legacy App put a message on the New RQ. Now the App indicates that it has put the message . We dont see the message on the XMIT queue. I guess it should stay on the XMIT queue since we have stopped the channel.

Can any one think where the message is going?? Or is there a problem with the Legacy App???

Well I see one of three possiblites to check

1) Make sure the app is getting a good return code from the MQPUT
2) Check the remote Queue definition to ensure it is correct
If you modified the existing queue remote was the queue modified
while no application had the remote definition open ???
If you had to force the change then restart the app.

3) Check the old transmit queue and see if the data is in there

Check the DLQ on the remote qmgr

IF you are getting a good return code from your app then the messages
are on some queue somewhere MQSeries doesnt loose messages at least not this easily.

Looks like you need an efficient MQ Reporter - http://www.cressida.info/products_am_mqla.shtml
