Hi,
XML view works well.
But we have some XMLs which require a DTD and for this it doesn't work.
Where can i put the dtd, or what can i do so it work ?
(For the moment i work on a downloaded 30 days test version.)
Very nice tool.
Regards,
Ben |

Hi,
Originally, the XML Viewer would only work with a "valid" XML document. Like me, many people did not have the DTDs on the same box where they were running MQ Visual Edit. Hence, you would get "DTD could not be found".
So, I changed the code to be less restrictive. Now the XML document just needs to be "well-formed". If a DTD is specified in the XML document then the XML Viewer will just ignored it.
One final thing, there appears to be a bug in Sun's XML parser when handling XML documents with a DTD specified (you cannot ignore the DTD). Therefore, make sure you use the included Xerces XML parser and that you have not altered the CLASSPATH setting in either mqve.bat or mqve.sh files.
I just retried MQ Visual Edit v1.0.7C with XML messages that contained a DTD and the XML Viewer displayed them correctly.
Hope that helps.

Roger Lacroix
