A single Config Manager on an NT box can service multiple brokers in multiple machines and/or LPARs. The config manager QManager and the broker QManagers must have sender/receiver (or server/requester, or cluster) channels defined between each other (CM to/from broker) to allow deploy messages and the replies to travel between the config manager and the brokers that it services. |

If you are trying to have a test and a production environment, with your two brokers on your two separate LPARS, you will want two ConfigMgrs.
Which means you will need two machines, since you can't run two copies of ConfigMgr on the same box.
The reason you will want two ConfigMgrs is so that you have two separate repositories of message flows. This will allow you to develop and deploy in the test environment without worrying about changing production unnecessarily.
If you aren't trying to create test and production environments, or are using version 5 of Integrator, then you can ignore this and use one ConfigMgr. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
