As a general rule, MQ (client or server) abstracts the connect layer from the application program - you don't care how it gets there (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, SNA, NETBios, carrier pigeon) - it just does, not your problem.
AFAIK you would set the appropriate variables in your environment , then make a client connection to the server. I'm sorry, I don't know what the settings would be, see the MQ Clients manual - it has a section on LU6.2 connections for Unix and NT.

You cannot use SNA for MQ java client.
There are 2 options for connecting. One is server bindings and the other is socket bindinds via TCP/IP. This is documented in the Using Java manual.

Well I never knew that! (I must admit I know stuff-all about Java )
Is it not possible to use the good old MQAPI direct (MQCONN, MQOPEN, MQGET etc) and a client connection to a server then? Setting all the TP Names and CPIC stuff and all that? |
