Using MQ 5.3 CSD04 on AIX.
Get AMQ7604 error when starting the QMGR. AMQ7604 basically states that the resource mgr was not available for xa_open. It states that the problem may be with the resource manager or XAOpenString. I verified, using SQLPLUS, that the database is accessible and User & Pwd are correct. I think my XAResourceManager stanza is correct (see below). Our DBA team is not sure what they need to configure.
Note: I changed sensitive information, but left most of this config intact:
XAResourceManager:
Name=DATABASE1
SwitchFile=/var/mqm/qmgrs/APP01D/ora9swit
XAOpenString=Oracle_XA+Acc=P/orauser/orapwd+SesTm=0+LogDir=/tmp/ora.log
ThreadOfControl=PROCESS
Two questions:
1. Does the DBA have to configure anything on Oracle 9.2.0.3 to make XA work?
2. Does the config above look fine?
Thanks in advance... |

Is this a new installation, or did something break?
If something broke, try recompiling the switch file.
Heck, if this is a new installation, try recompiling the switch file.
Are there any errors in your Database logs? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

This is a new installation. We recompiled the switch file, but same problem.
I missed this earlier:
The doc says +SqlNet=connectString is required when Oracle is on another machine. It is. Does anybody have an example of a SqlNet connectString? |
