Hi,
I have created sender and receiver channels at each Queue Manager. Now, I want to know like if I am sending some message through Remote queue on a queue manager, Will Receiver channel on that queue manager will be used? If it not used and I know the direction of message flow, I will just create sender channel only at thta queue manager?

Please let me know ur comments?

Thanks.

If you are sending messages from one queue manager to another, then the sending queue manager uses the sender channel. There MUST be a corresponding receiver channel at the receiving queue manager, of the exact same name. That's it.

Now, because channels are uni-directional (at least for messages), this pair will only send data in one direction. If, there is a need to return data back to the originating queue manager, then you will need another sender/receiver pair.

Now, I think your question is, do you need to define a sender and receiver at each queue manager. The answer is yes, if you want messages to flow in both directions. But if you only want to send data one way, then no, a single sender at one queue manager and a receiver at the other will suffice.

Cheers,

Just to add a minor comment, but this was one of the reasons MQ clustering was introduced - to reduce the administration of a network of QM's, so rather than one sdr/receiver pair per qmgr to every other qmgr, you have a single cluster receiver and cluster sender channel defined, and the rest occurs automatically.
