Hi

I have setup the remote queue configuration(DQM). I am able to send the message to remote queue. I want to explore the dead-letter-queue messages on the remote queue manager. So i have given depth as 1 for remote queue(local queue of remote queue manager). So first message goes to the queue(local queue of remote queue manager). Then onwards I am expecting them to go to dead-letter-queue. But its not going. what could be the problem????

I have set up the dead-letter-queue for the remote queue manager.

Thanks in Advance
Eswar.....

So, from what you say, i assume that you have made MAXDEPTH of the local(target) queue on desitnation qm to be 1. And you expect any further puts onto that queue by the MCA(channel) to go to DLQ which sounds reasonable. Here are some pointers.

1) Did you modify your qmgr to add the dlq name.
2) Do you have the authority to put to the dlq.
3) If MCA is unable to put messages to the DLQ it would raise an event and also log it to the mqerrlog. What do you see in the error log saying that it was unable to put to the DLQ.
4) If the messages are Persistent, and the message is undelivered to any queue(including dlq), then the channel would go down. Does this happen.

Guess answering these questions, you would come closer to your solution.

Cheers
Kumar

Is the sending channel stopping between the 2 qmgrs ???? If so that indicates that the DLQ is not setup.
