What is the difference between ProcessTemplateExecute() API call and ProcessTemplateCreateandStartInstance() API call?

Thanks in Advance

ProcessTemplateExecute is a synchronous call, you do not get control back until the specifed instance has been finished... its use is rare. ProcessTemplaceCreateAndStart returns control immediately.
