Hi all,
I need to change my user when I put a message to prevent 2035 error. I don´t want to create a user for every system (7 Win and 2 AIX all clients connection) in my server (AS/400), because all the systems use different users
I saw the option MQPMO_ALTERNATE_USER_AUTHORITY but this works only with MQPUT1 (I want to use MQPUT)
Any Idea ? _________________ Filipe Cotait

Hmmm... Why do you say it wouldnt work with MQPUT. QM has no way of distinguishing what api call(MQPUT1 or MQPUT) would be made if you set options to MQPMO_ALTERNATE_USER_AUTHORITY. :).
You should be able to use it.
What is there error you are getting and on what api call. Try and investigate that, or post it here.
Cheers

About MQPUT/MQPUT1 with MQPMO_ALTERNATE_USER_AUTHORITY: See Application Programming Reference, Part 1, Chapter 14. (I thought like you, but...)
I tried to use MQPMO_ALTERNATE_USER_AUTHORITY with MQPUT and the manual was correct (error 2046)
If I really can´t use MQPMO_ALTERNATE_USER_AUTHORITY I need to find another way to change my user when I put a message

To alter the user I used the options MQOO_SET_IDENTITY_CONTEXT (open) and MQPMO_SET_IDENTITY_CONTEXT (put).
It works, but I have a new question !
I put an invalid user in my message and the MQ accepted without giving the error 2035. Is right ?
