Hi,
Is it possible to rename a message set? The only solution to this problem I found so far is create a new message set with the new name and copy and paste all the messages.

You can use mqsicopymsgset to create a copy of your message set with a new name.
But you have to take care of your Message Set IDs within
your ESQL Code.
For description of the commad take a look at the WMQI 2.1 Administration Guide. |

once a message set is finalized you cannot make any changes to it (like renaming) ,so copying it would seem like the only option. There could be one other way of doing that , by creating new message set based on the old one .you can use the same name as long as you use a different and higher LEVEL number.I have not used this method , but think that should work too. |
