Hi

I am trying to run a java application from a trigger on a unix box. The trigger receives the message and prints up the line 'Starting' to indicate it is running.

I can then see the shell script and the java line command which is generated by the shell script in the list of processes, but there is no other indication that the code is running, and there is never any output from the code. Not even the basic log messages which should start to be written straight away.

Any ideas???

Keith

(PS all the permissions are set to allow the code to be run by the trigger, and it runs fine from the shell script when it is run from the command line.)

Are you setting all the needed enviroment variables to run?
Is the full path in the script?

check for possible errors at the log
check the system.dead.letter.queue

All the variables have been set and the paths are all full paths as far as I am aware.
When I run the script under the same user which is running the Q Manager it runs correctly, and it is from this I conclude that the variables are properly set.

You need to set the environment variables for user mqm because your shell will be run under user mqm.
