I am investigating a possibility of a two-way communication between MQSeries and MSMQ for one of our potential clients.

I understand that there is a product called MQSeries-MSMQ Bridge that allows an MSMQ client to access MQSeries queues.

The questions I found no answers for (so far):

1) Does this bridge also support the reverse - access of MSMQ queues from MQSeries client?

2) Are there any other products that do the same?

3) Is such two-way communication possible at all?

4) Does anybody have good/bad experiences with the products that support it?

Any info, or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

the MSMQ-MQSeries Bridge is a part of the HIS2000 product from Microsoft. It does indeed allow 2-way bridging from the two queueing environments.

notice that AD is pre-requisite for this,

there are BizTalk 2002 MQSeries adaptors, but it will need another installation of MQS server on that NT box ,

There was a series of three articles on configuring the MQ-MSMQ bridge server in MQ Update (www.xephon.com).

I've not used MSMQ but bridging will have to mean only using the compatible features between the two messaging products.

It must also be possible simply to code your own program that handles both MQ and MSMQ connections and passes data between them and for a limited requirement this might be all you need.
