Hi,
We have some Neon rules and formats coded in the MQSI Ver2.0 environment using the Neon Nodes.
We need to move the same to MQSI Ver2.1.
Are there any compatiblity issues when we are promoting to a higher version(2.1) from lower version(2.0).
Please if anybody can help me in this regard, it will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance,

should work without problems, just export all rules and formats from your 2.0 environment and then import into your 2.1 environment. |

Make sure that you peruse the ReadMe. There are some environmental variable changes, etc.
Hopefully you have multiple environments to experiment.
The NEON database schemas are different from one version to the next, so I would make sure that I have NNFie and NNRie backups as well as database backups from the 2.0 versions. (I would also keep a copy of the old NNFie and NNRie executables so I could export again, if needed.)
Like Michael, I haven't bumped into any snags, so fire away.
On a side note, I noticed that you are still using NEON Rules. You might want to consider migrating some of that functionality into native 2.1 Broker functionality.
Good Luck! |

Hi guys,
Thank you very much for the response.
There are a few thing which you need to consider while using Neon Rules and Formats on Ver2.1.
Some things to note
1. You need to start the broker by setting the NN_CONFIG_FILE_PATH variable point to nnsyreg.dat file containing the DB info.
2. There are some changes in the variables as compared to the lower versions. Looks like float does not support huge numbers.
3. If you are using "userexits" make sure you update them in the LIBPATH before starting the broker.
Thanks again for the suggesions.
Regards,
