Does anyone know of an ActiveX (OCX) that can be dropped into an existing application?
The existing application is InTouch (Industrial HMI/SCADA Application) which supports ActiveX objects and will allow me to easily set properties and script events. |

What is that you plan to do. Do you want an ActiveX that would do MQ API calls for you or you want to write one???
There are libraries that you could use to build your own in MQ.

I'm hoping for an OCX that will do all the API calls for me. InTouch cannot use the mqax200.dll as it is, but as InTouch can handle an OCXs (with some restrictions), I was hoping there was one or more objects I could use "out of the box" so that I didn't have to make my own.
I saw reference to a CWBCTRL.OCX on the IBM web-site, but couldn't find it (I have only got the client tools installed at this stage) so I am unsure of what functionality it would provide.
What I imagine (and I am definitely no expert) is a couple of properties for que name, id, password and a method that starts the connection and a method that sends the message and finally an event that says a message has arrived.
Due to the InTouch restrictions I may have to do it myself, but any information I can get that would help (or any existing OCX) would be greatly appreciated. |

Am afraid i cannot be of much help here.
Did you search through the IBM website to see if you get any helpful hints. I shall look up and if i find any, shall post it out.
Good luck.

Thanks mqonnet for looking into it... I could only find one reference on the IBM site to the CWBCTRL.OCX and it seemed a good place to start, but I have no idea where the OCX comes from.
Anyone else have any ideas? |
