LOC_LOCATOR is the preferred method for accessing the MQ Workflow Java APIs because it eliminates the communication layer between the Java APIs and the Java Agent.

I was reading above lines from "WebSphere MQ Workflow Web client" documentation. Can some one explain what exactly does it mean when they say " eliminates the communication layer between the Java APIs and the Java Agent".

LOC_LOCATOR uses the C/C++ API directly and thus eleminates some overhead.
