Hi,

I am fairly new to MQ and am looking for some help.

I have installed the mq series client on a nt pc. I am trying to connect to a queue manager on a Windows 2003 server.

I have set the MQSERVER variable to point to the server connection channel on the server machine.

When I try to put a message onto a queue on the server from the client using the amqsputc command I get the following:

Sample AMQSPUT0 start
MQCONN ended with reason code 2063

This error code relates to a security issue. Is there some security settings that need to be enabled/disabled to allow the connection to go through?

I have left the MCA id blank on the channel definition on the server side.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a userid/principal with the same name on the server machine as the logon id on your client machine. If not, define one. If you do, then verify that this userid has appropriate authority to access MQ Objects. If this userid is NOT in the mqm group, then you have to setmqaut on the objects you wish to access along with setmqaut queue manager wide.

Cheers
Kumar
