I have two servers ( A and B )which are not clustered boxes , but load balanced by a Hardware switch. Switch has a virtual IP address different from either of the boxes.

I have same named queue manager ( lets say SHARED.QMGR)and receiver channel on both the boxes. On a third box ( C )I have a diferent queue manager ( lets say SENDER.QMGR) and a sender channel corresponding to receiver channel.

I have an application on C to send files to either A or B. When I first sent a file it arrived on A and after some time when I sent a file , the channel went in retry. ( Channel Disconnect interval is only 10 seconds and I tried after 30 minutes ).If I reset both receiver and sender channel to Message Sequence number 1, next file goes to machine B.

Does anybody have an idea as how I can configure queue manager and channels in this situation such that I can have queue manager on both boxes and would be able to achieve load balancing.

Thanks a lot in adavance.

The channel programs maintain a sequence number so that they can confirm the arrival of messages. There is no away around this and have MQSeries maintain the assured delievery of messages using the method you describe
