A customer has the need to delete the CfgMgr and reinstall it on another W2K machine.
As I know from the W2K environment that it is not possible to assign a Broker to a new CfgMgr without loosing all the ExecGroup and related MFs and MSs, I would like to know if it is the same in AIX.
We have moved our configmgr before. If I recall correctly, there are some backup and recovery steps that you can follow - essentially recovering the configmgr database to the new machine before creating the configmgr, so that you do not lose any data. The other major step is changing all channels to pint to the new ip address. You so not need to delete the old configmgr until the new one is working.
