We have a CSQD qmgr representing development and CSQA qmgr representing acceptance on our OS/390 v2.10 lpar. Over the weekend, we upgraded the CSQD qmgr from MQ v52 to MQ v53 (using steplibs) and kept the CSQA qmgr still running MQ v52. Yes, we have the early code for MQ 53 loaded in the LPA as recommended.
We use the IH03 supportpac (RFHUTIL) to browse/update queues on remote qmgrs from our desktops. After the upgrade of CSQD, when we point to that qmgr we receive RC=2059. The CSQA qmgr continues to work fine. Another user written program that points to the SRVCONN channel (CLIENT.TO.CSQD) fails the same exact way.
I saw nothing mentioned in the MQ 53 System Setup Guide under 'migration' that seemed to apply, nor did I get any hits on this site or IBMLINK.
Any ideas from the experts? Could it be a security issue?
Thanks, Dan |

well a 2059 would not be a security issue, did you install the client access facility for v5.3 ??? _________________ Jeff

Thanks Jeff, that is the problem. Apparently we have JMS5207 installed for MQ v5.2 but the PDO tape used to receive the new MQ v53 code did not have JMS5307 on it. I am in the process of obtaining this fmid.
I can verify this also by looking in the CSQACHIN task (MQ v52) which I can see "CSQX099I Client attachment feature available". I do not see this message for CSQDCHIN.
Thanks again - I hope this posting may help others |
