referring to the sample program on our AIX box (amqsget0.c) contained within /usr/mqm/samp/bin I want to compile it my directory /home/smith8
but I am not sure how to link up with the .h or lib files because I am getting an error when I : cc amqsget0.c -o amq.x

can someone please let me know what the command is to compile MQ programs on AIX MQ 5.2

You must use -lmqm option yto complie mq programs

cc amqsget0.c -o amqx -lmqm
