Hi all,

I will be migrating from 5.2 to 5.3 shortly. In case of unexpected problems we will have to fallback to 5.2. I have been asked to find the quickest way to perform the fallback, preferably not a full system restore.

For those that have done this migration, I would like to ask what your fallback procedure was. The quickest way I can think of is to backup the /opt/mqm and /var/mqm directories on disk, and copy them back in a fallback situation. The channel sequence numbers would need to be reset afterwards. Can anyone see any problems with that?

thanks,
Mike

Well instead of copy you could use a move of the dirs, this would save some time
