I have a customer where some broker flows send copies of the messages processed (before and after parsed) to local queues. These local queues are ment to be used when a problem appeared and the applications guys want to assure that the messages where processed by the message flow.
This is common on development enviroments, but this customer has it on production.
The queues are cleaned every month.
Which are the effects of this practice over the qmgr and OS performance?
Hi,
Nope, we use the same method for resilience. In case a user comes back saying their details were 'lost' in an application, we have a copy of everything running into a shadow queue. It doesn't effect preformance at all, we don't even clean them down once a month like you do.
