Is there anyway from within the .NET MQ classes (or Java) to get the textual description of reason and completion codes?
I need to log any exceptions thrown, but would like to also log not only the code, but the description as well so we don't always have to look them up in the api guide.
Any suggestions?
Thanks... _________________ Leigh Kendall |

the additional mqrc program returns the description
mqrc 2085 > output.log , bit clunky but should do the trick |

Thanks for the replies...
I take it however, that there is no "easy" way to get this information. No other property is exposes this information? That would be nice... I know on MQException in the .NET classes, the message property just returns the reasonCode and completionCode formatted nicely, but no description information.
Oh well... Guess the operators will have to cross-reference any errors in the MQ API Reference. <g> _________________ Leigh Kendall |
