Does anyone have experience with Veritas clustering on AIX for MQ? I'm looking for whether Veritas or HACMP would be prefered on IBM AIX hardware. Are there major differences or issues? Does one support MQ failover better than the other?
Thanks. Any advice or pointers appreciated. _________________ Regards,

And I would recommend using the HACMP or Veritas supportpacs that Rob mentions. We used to just have the whole /var/mqm filesystem on a sharedvg but this is not recommended. We recently implemented the supportpac and it works very well. It basically just creates a bunch of links to shared disk and keeps the shared memory directories local so they don't mess up your startup on the HA node.
