I am getting this error when i try to open my msgflow in debugger.
BIP0640E
my configuration is :-
WINXPP/DB2( /WMQI(5.2)/CSD5 & MQ/5.3 no csd.
it says that the TCP port in use, try again and if the problem persists contact IBM
it works fine without debugger, also gets deployed to the broker.
Pl. advice.
thanks in adv.

The error you have seen would suggest that you are using the Visual Debugger in V2.1 and have attempted the "Start debugging" option in the Visual debugger.
Have you read the "Basic operations" sub section in the "debugging message flows" section of the Chapter 5 - Working with message flows in the using the Control Centre book? This mentions that if you plan to debug from multiple control centres, then you need to alter the default TCP/IP port range that the debugger uses.
This error can also be seen if you attempted to debug a message flow where the MQInput node is nested in a subflow. The first debugger would cause the Control Centre to hang, and then when a second debug is attempted this port would still be in use.
Finally you are running on Windows XP. WMQI V2.1 is not yet officially supported on Windows XP. It may be possible that the default ports the visual debugger uses clashes with ports that Windows XP uses. Again follow the information in the "basic operations" section to change the port number. _________________ Regards
