We have two NT boxes, both have full version of MQ5.2.1, one use for Configmgr and the other one use for brokers. Now I need to install MQSI but I am not sure where should I install MQSI in (on my CM box or brokers box)? and why?
thanks in advance |

How about this for a novel concept:
Install the Configuration Manger part on the machine you want to use for the Configuration Manger. And install the Broker part on the machine where you want the Broker.
Oh, and BTW. I would suggest installing the Control Centeron the Configuration Manager box as well. Later you can install just this part on other boxws as well.

I am very much read through the whole installation guide for (Windows and AIX) but still don't see where would be a good place to install MQSI? Perhaps, I missed the spot somewhere. Could you please point me to the right section of the installation guide as you mentioned?
Thanks |

When you install you have an option to select custom installation or full installation. If you choose custom installation you can choose whatever components you want to install on your machine. On the config. mgr box you should choose config mgr component & control center. On the broker box you should choose broker component, if you want you can choose control center also. So you need to install MQSI on both the boxes, but different components.
If you still have questions you can refer to Installation guide
in chpter 3: Installing Websphere MQ Integrator
"Choosing which components to install(page 24)"
