Is it possible for someone other than the Workitem OWNER with proper authorization to transfer a Workitem that is in the CHECKED_OUT state? I can't seem to get this to work. I'm worried that a user will check out an item and go on vacation or something and I'll not be able to check the item back in and transfer it to someone else. I've tried doing this as ADMIN to no avail (wrong state error).
Any suggestions? |

As far as I know there is nothing you can do to transfer a item in Checked_Out state.
Dont give user the option to just checkout. Combine checkout and checkin. _________________ -Ratan |

Thanks. That's the conclusion we've come to as well. |

Can you please explain what you mean by check out and check in
do you mean the user has to check in all the workitem he has checked out while he/she is logging out from the application.

Bobbo:
I think what you want to do to get out of this situation is to do a ForceRestart on the ActivityInstance. If you have the thin client installed, this can be done from the Monitor.
