Hi all,
I have defined tags in a TDS message and they are special characters.
Message Ex.
Ãbc:TEST1
FGH:TEST2
Defining this value in TDS TAG, the message flow fails. Changing the TDS TAG and the message to Abc it works.
I have already altered the message set to CCSID 850 (PT_BR) but it didn't work.
Any Idea ? _________________ Filipe Cotait

Hi,
For TDS characters that the control centre does not accept, you can use the TDS mneumonic version to enter the character. For example <U+0001>. These are of the format <U+nnnn> where nnnn is the two byte hexadecimal value for your character in Unicode.
Remember, this is your character as it would be in Unicode, not in the codepage you are trying to use. When the MRM-TDS parser is parsing your message, then your message characters will eventually be converted to Unicode and the message tree is created.
It should be noted that this does not work for some special characters in some code pages where no codepage mapping exists for the code page character to Unicode.
Hope this helps _________________ Regards
