You can certainly copy mqm.dll from one machine to another, and run the risk that it might actually work until the wrong moment.

You could indeed perform a full server product install on a machine and not pay a license for that because you are not running a queue manager. But it doesn't let you do anything, because you're not running a queue manager...

I'm thinking that copying licensed components from licensed software would be in violation of the license agreement.

Yes, but we've already established the OP has a flexible view of IP in earlier posts.

No a ConnectionFactory just describes a way to connect to a qmgr. This may or may not be via a client connection (channel). It could also be an in memory process.

Excellent article that explains the use of MQIPT. I recommend you read it at least 3 times...
