In the latest version of MQDocument, I took out all the text from the xsl style sheet and put them in a separate xml file.

This will enable users of MQDocument to customise the text of object and attribute descriptions etc to be customised in their local language.

I am currently working on 'native' platform support for iSeries in MQDocument,
I have just finished testing with OS/400 V5R3 and MQ V5.3 and will soon start testing with MQ 6.0

iSeries support in MQDocument will be provided using java from QSH:
/qsys.lib/qmqm.lib/runmqsc.pgm will be re-used to retrieve object details and
/qsys.lib/qmqm.lib/amqoamd.pgm for security settings.

If you would like to have preview of the iSeries support, pm me your e-mail address or contact me through the MQSystems contact page

Testing of MQDocument with WebSphere MQ BETA V7.0 (Distributed) has been completed and the results look good.

Unless there are major changes to the GA code, MQDocument is V7 Ready

Gaya3, did you try to download the referenced MQDocument product brochure?
I noticed some of the older posts in this topic had the old links and should be fixed now.

Based on this thread Clean usable Export

I am going to look at incorporating the MQSC (re-)generating capabilities into MQDocument.

For those who would then want to keep their MQ Configuration information in a single place in a single format (XML/MQSC),
so it can be re-used for:
- Documentation purposes using XSL Stylesheets
- (re)Generation of MQSC commands to recreate the objects
- Difference analysis of configuration information.

Let me know if this is a more attractive offering then just the MQDocument capabilities.

For those following this thread throug a subscription:

The MQSC generation capabilities are now in beta:
alternative to MS03 / saveqmgr and more ...

thanks to some internal code changes, the mqdocclient code is now able to parse straight runmqsc output from DISPLAY commands,
this allows you to create a snapshot of any MQ installation where you have runmqsc or equivalent access, without installing any
software on the machine where MQ runs.

I am aware of functioning and tested support for MQ on:
Windows,
Linuxes,
AIX,
Solaris,
HP-UX,
iOS,
z/OS (MAKEDEF output)

but am willing to take on the challenge to parse the runmqsc or equivalent output for any (exotic) MQ platform!
From the offline generated SNAPSHOT you should then be able to generate the MQSC commands to recreate the objects.

The latest beta of mqdocgen can now also (re)generate the setmqaut (for Windows/UNIXes) or GRTMQMAUT (for iOS)

so it has now integrated MQSC and ACL generation capabilities.

Just completed intitial compatability testing of MQDocument with MQ V7.0.1

minor changes were needed because of new attributes and attribute values,
I will update the demo/trial packages soon to reflect the new values.

If you are still on pre V7.0.1 you are not affected by these changes.

All of the above functionality has been rolled up into MQDocument V1.2.0
and is also from now on available in the free 30 days trial version.

Main new features included in V1.2.0:

    - the ability to run MQDocument as a WebSphere MQ Service, including

      - scheduling
      - automatically send the files to a central location, using WebSphere MQ Queues

    - the ability to (re)Generate any MQSC / ACL script in any form needed, making MQDocument as single source for all your documentation and scripting needs
