In prod - 96 adapter, 60 dispatcher, 8 SSL tasks. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

What does RMF report on CHIN hardware resource utilization, like wait on processor? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I don't have a pass to enter the hallowed portal of z/os systems programming.
Before I risk disturbing the demi-Gods, what sort of issue are you suggesting here? _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

Number of Adapters and dispatchers seems well provisioned, but does the LPAR have sufficient CPU horsepower to keep up with the adapter and dispatcher workload? MVS sees processors in whole numbers, but it’s possible that the LPAR has 0.25 CPU allocated to it. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

These CHINs are on production Z14s - not hitting 100% CPU overall. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

SMF reporting this? Or, RMF? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
