Can somebody explain me the different ways(if there is many) to manage (from a MQSeries point of view) what is called 'poisoned messages' (for instance, the same messages always coming in a DLQ and other situation... (I've been told about some things about retrying numbers aso).

There is a field in the MQMD of a message called the BackoutCount. This is an integer field and is set automatically when a message is backed-out (transaction). I am thinking that this could be used to count how many times a message reappears on the DLQ. If too many times, the message can be junked or moved to a different queue.
I am curious, what is the reason code in the DLQ header for why such a message can't be delievered?
