Hi,
I am facing a problem in starting ICS 4.3 server on my machine. The error message it pops up is:
Could not start the CWInterchange ICS307service on local computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
The prerequisites (DB2 Enterprise version 8.1.5 and WMQ 5.3 CSD9) for ICS 4.3 is on my local Win2k machine. First, I started the PersistentName server and then the ICS server. I haven't changed anything anywhere in the default settings.
The reinstallation of ICS didn't change the situation anyway.
Anybody out there to help me...
Regards,

Do you see any error messages in InterchangeSystem.log?
Start the service from command line instead of from services. This will show you the actual exceptions.
c:\IBM\WebSphereICS\bin> start_server <your ICS Server Name> _________________ -Ratan

I followed what you had asked and solved the problem. i started the ICS from the Command line. And alongside I looked into the InterchangeSytem.log. Then only i could figure out the culprit. It was my wrong password in Flow Monitoring section of the Database tab of the server configuration that was giving the error.
Thanks for you help!
