I used to type a command into an NT server to save a copy of all MQ Definitions on that qmgr. It's been a while so I've forgotten this command...
Any hints??
Thanks,
Ross.

Thanks for that. Saveqmgr is what I was thinking of. If I wanted to save the security setting and all definitions, do I need to use saveqmgr as well as amqoamd, or does amqoamd do it all?

You need to do both.. amqoamd only saves the security setting, saveqmgr only saves the qmgr objects (queue, processes...)

Thanks again. 1 more question if I may... What manuals will I find syntax for running these commands. I've been looking through Programmable System Management Guide, Admin Guide and Command Reference without luck.
Thanks.

Saveqmgr is a support pack, so it's documented in it's own manual.

amqoamd is not, to my knowledge, currently documented in the manuals. It might be documented in the readme/memo.ptf.

But it will respond with useage information from the command line if you ask it for help.

For saveqmgr, type:

saveqmgr -?

in the directory where ms03 is installed.

For amqoamd:

amqoamd -?
