Hello All,
I have messages defined with both MessageID and CorrelationID. If I read the messages by CorrelationID it is very fast(0.1 sec). But if i use MessageID to read, it is very slow (20 to 30 sec's).
1. Any idea why it is happening like this?
My queue size is 30K+ messages. And the message would be deleted every restart.
2. Is it feasible to index the queue?
3. Does MQC.MQGMO_NOWAIT make any difference in performance?
Thanks in Advance,
PS

Hi,
Since, your question is a general MQ question rather than specific question about a Capitalware product. Hence, I have moved it to the MQ API forum.
First-off, you need to give details about the version of MQ you are using and on what platform.
To answer your questions
1. Are you sure you are using the same logic for both tests? Is the queue manager on z/OS? (mainframe)
2. Indexing is automatic for distributed queue managers.
3. No.

Roger Lacroix
