The arquitecture we have is two tiered. The DB2 database server is the first one. The second has a Websphere MQ Workflow Server installation and a (custom) web application client in the Websphere Application Server.

Regarding the second tier, in the scenario we have at production environment there are two machines to work with failover capabilities (only one active at the same time).

Both this machines have the same configuration, which is:

- two different Workflow Server configurations with different systems, groups and queue managers;

- two different web applications in the WAS that each one connects to the specific workflow configuration;

Both applications use the same embedded agent with local locator policy configured at the application server JVM classpath.

The problem:

We have ocasionally an error in the applications log, at the WAS environment, when accessing the specific configuration with the embedded agent, apparently when simultaneous connections to the same java agent occur.

The questions:

In the described cenario, is it possible to configure both web applications in the same application server to connect to different Workfow Servers (with different system groups) in the same machine?

If not what would be the cenario in which the requisite of having both applications in the same application server connecting to distinct Workflow Servers would be possible?

Thanks
