Hola,
tengo problemas con una instalación MQServer 5.3.4 AIX, que presenta el siguiente sÃntoma (la última vez que se dió fue hace 6 meses):
- I/O de disco 100% en el file system de mqm
- encolamiento de mensajes en dos colas que son atendidas por procesos que hacen solo get de los mensajes en forma secuencial, a medida que arriban.
- Tasa de arribo de mensajes 200 por segundo aprox. la tasa es siempre la misma.
- Uno puede observar que los procesos están leyendo más lento de lo habitual, ya que a medida que aumenta el encolamiento, aumenta el I/O del disco.´Lo que aún no he descubierto es si el disco es el que ocaciona el encolamiento o el encolamiento es el que genera el I/O excesivo del disco.
- El equipo tiene 6 CPU de 1.1 Ghz y 6 GB de RAM....
- Lo raro es que al hacer un browse y ver los mensajes, el encolamiento comienza a bajar. Es como si la cola tuviese mensajes expirados que ocacionan el encolamiento o impiden que los procesos actuen correctamente.
alguien ha tenido un problema similar al que indico ?

I have problems with an installation MQServer 5.3.4 AIX that presents the following symptom (the last time it happened was about 6 months ago):
disk IO is at a 100% in the mqm file system
Queuing of messages in 2 Queues that are serviced by processes that do nothing else but only a get in sequential form as the messages arrive.
Put rate of the messages is about 200 per second. The rate is always the same.
It can be observed that the processes are reading much slower than usual and the queue depth is growing at the same time that disk IO is growing.
What I don't know is whether the growth in disk I/O is making the queue depth grow or whether the growth in queue depth is pushing the disk I/O.
Neither nor. It is because the process does not read fast enough the messages off the queue that the depth is growing and the disk I/O is rising.
Hardware setup 6 CPU of 1.1 Ghz and 6GB RAM
It is seems that when we do a browse and look at the messages the queue depth starts to go down. It looks like the queue is holding expired messages that push the depth up and prevent the processes to work correctly (as expected)
Has anybody had a problem of a similar nature?
