After deleting a broker on AIX 4.3.3(maintenance level 9) with MQSeries 5.1.0 and MQSI 2.0.1.3, I have tried to re-create the broker from the line command but it fails because of the following error:

Failed to open trace file log/AT006C.mqsicreatebroker.trace.bin.0 with error A f
ile or directory in the path name does not exist.
Failed to open trace file log/AT006C.mqsicreatebroker.userTrace.bin.0 with error
A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
BIP8144E: Unable to create directory . (error 13)
Direcory creation has failed due to directory permission setting.
Use a different -w value or consult system administrator for possible cause of t
his error.00

I have checked the /var/mqsi/log directory and the two trace files are missing.

Please check whether your user-id is a part of mqbrkrs group?
