Hello ,

As i understand generally the repositories on the Full Repository and the partial Repositories are updated for the cluster to be in sync.

Can anyone let me know the time gap between these update and can these updates on the repositories be controlled.

I need the explanation, because in our current cluster setup, even if we suspend a partial repository it is appearing in the Cluster, Even if i move the partial repository out of the cluster, the Full repository is throwing error that the channel is not available, but the Full reposiroty is not reflecting the change.

Regards,

bbc

Well, they are only kind of in Synch.

The Partial repositories are only holding the information which they need. They subscribe for it at the FR.

If you move out a queue manager of the cluster, what is your steps to do it? Usually it is not a prob if you do it right.

Also here the clustering manual is giving you good information.

Try:

1. Taking all queues?etc... out of the cluster
2. Suspend the queue manager
3. Go for a coffee. If you don't drink coffee take tee.
4. Take out the Cluster Attribute of the Cluster Channels
5. Check on the FR whether it worked, but should.

Plan B.

Use the RESET CLUSTER command at the FR. Be careful with it.

Hi,

That was helpful, i have got two queries :

1. What is the general defined time interval for the above (Update between pr and fr)
2. Whether can we control the repository update.

Regards,

Hi,

1. You have to search the manual for this information.
2. Not as far as I know

Stop using MQExplorer to determine the state of your cluster. It gives some false info when it comes to clusters.

Anytime you have a question about your cluster, anytime you think something is not right, use the runmqsc commands from the command line.

If insist on MQExplorer's views of the cluster, you will occasionally find yourself chasing problems that do not exist. And missing problems that do exists.
