Hi all,

MQ Series 5.0 is not starting after having applied OS patches on Sun Sparc Solaris 2.6.

The Error I'm getting is "AMQ6109 An Internal MQ Series error has occured"

Even after uninstalling the patches still the same problem continues.

Any Ideas what could be happening....

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

I faced similar kind of a problem.

It is common problem when MQSereis is newly installed on Sun Solaris. MQSeries Installation needs a few manual configuration to be done on the Sun OS. In AIX it is all so easy as the Installation Auto-Configures the Kernel. In Sun this part has to be done manually. Let me tell you how to go about it.

1. Check for the latest Patch for MQSeries from IBM Web Site and install
2. Check for Latest Sun OS patch from Sun Website and install
3. Modify the Semaphores and Shared Memory Specifications for the Sun OS
4. Please refer to MQSeries for Solaris Quick Start / Beginings guide, It will
give you all that necessary info.

Try it out and feedback

Regards

Hi Jeff,

Actually MQ was working fine prior to OS patch installation and this patches were needed due to the pre-requisite of other application S/W's like Oracle, Weblogic and Iplanet.

I am not able to attach the log file so could you pl. let me know the mail-ID of you so that i can directly forward it to you.

Thanks and Regards
Kiran
