I am using MQ series 5.2 with support pak MA88 to
access queues.I am starting the listeners from a start up servlet running under Websphere 3.5. I am using the WS namspace to store the JMS objects. The only way I have been able to successfully retrieve and use the mq objects (such as MQQueueConnectionFactory) is to place jms.jar and the 2 mq jar files in the application server classpath. This is OK until we attempt to use a
JMS objectMessage. I can successfully put an ObjectMessage in a queue,
but when it is extracted from the queue I get the following error:

MQJMS1061: Unable to deserialize object

Thanks,
Subhendu

Does your Object implement the Seriazable interface of Java. Every object which is transported across the wire needs implement the Seriazable interface. Let me know if this works.

I thought that there was a bug between WebSphere and MQSeries that dealt with deserialization of objects. I can't remember the APAR number. I believe the fix was called MQ_WAS_EFIX.jar. You should be able to call IBM support and have them send it to you.
