What are the steps involved in connecting a client to a server? Specificly with regards to adding the 'userid' logged on to the client machine being added to the Server's mqm group. Is this truly necessary? If so, what if the client logs on as somebody else... must I add all possible userid's?
Maybe this doesnt' even have to be done at all... but I was told it had to, and would like to hear otherwise (If it doesn't have to be done - how do you get past the 2035 error?)
Many thanks |

---You could always have a userid which is either within the mqm group or even outside the mqm group. But if the userid is within the mqm group, all the authorities, even admin, are inherited by default by this userid. But if it is a userid which is not within the mqm group, one needs to assign authorities to each and every object and QM using Setmqaut for this userid.
Maybe this doesnt' even have to be done at all... but I was told it had to, and would like to hear otherwise (If it doesn't have to be done - how do you get past the 2035 error?)
---2035 could be avoided by assigning appropriate authorities to the userid's using setmqaut to access objects. Also bear in mind that the userid MUST MATCH EXACTLY to the one coming in from a client, when a client tries to connect to any QM on the host system.
Cheers.
